Renowned actor Pankaj Tripathi has officially joined Velvet as a co-founder, marking an exciting development for this innovative cinematic audio stories platform. Velvet aims to revolutionize storytelling by providing immersive audio experiences to audiences worldwide. Co-founded by Tripathi alongside actor and dialogue coach Vikas Kumar, Akshat Saxena, Varad Bhatnagar, and Sharib Khan, the platform aspires to elevate India’s rich oral storytelling heritage. The beta version of Velvet was launched for distribution partners in July, with the official public launch occurring in October 2024. Bringing Pankaj Tripathi on board aligns with the company’s strategy to expand its user base.

Speaking about his involvement, the Stree 2 actor shared, “Storytelling is deeply rooted in our culture. Our folk tales and epics have always inspired, educated, and entertained.
