In the film Chennai Express, Deepika Padukone played a rebellious daughter who refuses to marry the groom of her father’s choice. Deepika wore numerous South Indian sarees in the film and played Meenalochni ‘Meenamma’ Azhagusundaram admirably.
The plot of the film revolved around Shah Rukh Khan’s character, Rahul Mithaiwala, a man who accidentally boards the eponymous train and meets Meena and her father’s goons. Meena and Rahul eventually end up falling in love.
Alia Bhatt in 2 States
Many fans were drawn to Alia Bhatt’s clothes and makeup in 2 States, as well as her acting. The actor’s appearance is Indian Bohemian and vibrant throughout the film. Milan Luthria directed The Dirty Picture, which was produced by Balaji Motion Pictures. The leading actors in the film were Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi, and Tusshar Kapoor.
Silk Smitha, the late south Indian actor, was the inspiration for the film. The film received critical acclaim, and Vidya Balan received numerous awards and nominations for her audacious portrayal of Silk Smitha in The Dirty Picture.
