Netizens troll Ranveer Singh for promoting Kamal Haasan’s Tamil movie ‘Vikram’
Trolls recently targeted Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh after he tweeted the Hindi trailer for Kamal Haasan’s next actioner ‘Vikram.’ “Cheers to my talented friend Lokesh @Dir Lokesh and the Legend of Indian Cinema @ikamalhaasan!” the actor posted on Twitter in favor of the film. “This trailer is incredible.” While all of Kamal Haasan’s supporters praised him, a small group of individuals mocked him for supporting the Tamil film.
Netizens went to the microblogging site shortly after his post to criticise the Simmba actor. They suggested that Ranveer Singh promote Bollywood films first. Some even dubbed it his clever strategy for making friends in the South. “Udhar inki lanka bollywood jali padi hai tollywood ko promote karne chale aye,” one enraged Twitter user wrote in the post’s comments section. “You have time to promote other industry films, but you don’t have time to promote your own industry film #dhaakad,” another said.

“Now suddenly Bollywood is establishing friends in the south,” one of the netizens remarked, referring to Bollywood celebrities faking their friendship with South performers. Patli awaaz ko paisa kamaaana hai.”
In terms of ‘Vikram,’ was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and is one of the year’s most anticipated films. Three of the top stars from the South film industry, Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil, feature in the action thriller. Suriya will appear in a vital cameo role in the film, which is set to hit theatres on June 3rd. Vikram will also be released in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, in addition to Tamil.
