Jayeshbhai Jordaar First Day Box Office collection : Ranveer Singh’s social drama struggles on its first day

Jayeshbhai Jordaar First Day Box Office collection

The Ranveer Singh-starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which has been making headlines in recent weeks, hits theatres today. The film, which deals with a socially relevant topic, was expected to open well after much hype and promotion. However, the film has had a poor start, contrary to expectations.

According to reports, Jayeshbhai Jordaar has a 10% occupancy rate during morning and afternoon shows. Expectations were high for the film, which was released on 2250 screens in the domestic market, to replicate the opening weekend business of recent box office successes. However, the film’s subject appears to have been poorly received by the film’s target audience.

Ranveer Singh starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar First Day Box Office , which has received mixed reviews from critics, will have to rely heavily on positive word of mouth from the target audience in the future. According to current trends, the film’s opening day collections could be in the Rs. 4-5 crore range.

Previously, the Delhi High Court had requested a screening. The bench, led by acting Chief Justice Vipin Sangh, ordered Yash Raj Films to show them the relevant scene or face a stay of execution.

The court also ordered that disclaimers be included in YouTube trailers as well as the film itself when it is released on any digital platform. The producers have six days to add disclaimers to the related YouTube videos.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar is a comical take on the serious subject of female infanticide. Directed by Divyang Thakkar the film also stars Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah, and marks the debut of Arjun Reddy (2017) actress, Shalini Pandey. It is produced by Yash Raj Films.
