Mumbai Police arrests a man for stalking a web series actor

Mumbai Police often receives cases of threats, abuse, and other scandals from the entertainment industry. These days, actors from the entertainment industry are prone to the risk of attacks. What comes alarming amid the tons of such crimes out there is stalking and online abuse.

A 35-year-old man was recently charged by the police in Suburban Andheri. Reportedly, he stalked and abused the 26-year-old web series actor on social networking sites, as per the statement released by Mumbai Police today.

Here’s what Mumbai Police officials have said:

The actor who was working in Hindi and Bengali series revealed that she was going through this abuse for a few months. Police officials also said that the actor was targeted with nasty comments from an anonymous person when she was live for her fans on social media. 

While she restricted him by blocking him on that platform, he didn’t stop there and started sending her abusive messages on Instagram. This did not end there as the man started tagging her and her husband with defaming content on Twitter. 

Mumbai Police officials also revealed that the man who has been accused then took her contact number and began calling and sending text SMS. He also stalked her in person and here it felt more dangerous. Therefore, the actor reached out to file a complaint against him at the D.N. Nagar police station. He was arrested yesterday based on the registered complaint against him. 

Well, this has been common today and not just actors even common people are being abused by such people. Taking necessary measures for your safety should be the first step for you in such cases. Before this, Many biggest superstars have also received murder threats and received police security after the same.
