As we heard before that the Kangana Ranaut and Rajkumar Rao starrer film Mental Hai Kya has got a new title – Sentimental Hai Kya, we now have another one coming from the makers. The Censor Board has raised its objection on the plea of a doctor’s group called Indian Psychiatric Society who found this title objectionable and offensive for people who remain mentally challenged. With the growing controversies, the Censor Board was quick to ask the makers to change the title.
As per the reports, the makers after meeting the said group that raised the objection and then decided to change the name as Judgemental Hai Kya. Earlier we heard that the makers have done Sentimental Hai Kya but again it was close to the earlier title and the objection seemed to have hanging on them leaving them to change the title that remains unobjectionable. However, the makers were not willing to change the title and were struggling to do so but the meeting with the IPS lead this change.
Kangana was also present at the meeting and she gracefully accepted the issues to change that title to the above said one. The word mental has too many taboos attached and it has to be used wisely considering the sensitivity claimed the spokesperson of the Balaji Group. The film has bagged U/A Certification from the Censor Board along with getting some minor changes in it, which they need to comply with. The film has Prakash Kovelamudi as its director who is a known filmmaker in the South Indian Film Industry. It also has Amyra Dastur and Jimmy Sheirgill in the key roles, while it is all set to hit the screens on July 26.
