Just after a day when Saif Ali Khan was announced to be the part of an Indo-Pak drama film based on the life of a Delhi based lady Uzma Ahmed, we now hear the makers announced the leading lady for it. Saif Ali Khan is playing an Indian Diplomat called JP Singh who has helped the Indian lady to get rid of the clutches of a Paki driver who forced the lady to marry on a gunpoint and making her life hell. Shraddha Kapoor has been roped in by the makers to play the lady in the biopic.
As per the sources, she would be playing the role of Uzma, who happens to be a lady who went to Pakistan but was later harassed and made to marry on gunpoint. The lady went a tough time and fought back by seeking the help of the Indian High Commission. It took a few days for her to get rid of the place and return to India. Earlier, the makers were considering the other divas like Parineeti Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz when the makers had the idea of making this film a year ago.
However, as time passed things changed and they were able to rope-in Shraddha as the lead actress for the film where she plays the Indian girl who is trapped in Pakistan. She was later rescued by the Indian High Commission diplomat SP Singh, which will be played by Saif Ali Khan. However, Shraddha has currently left for Austria to shoot her next schedule for the film Saaho and once she completes the film and then she would become the formal part of this biopic. The film will be directed by Shivam Nair the Naam Shabana fame director.
