As the B Town released a couple of films, this certainly included the one called Malang. The film has Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani in the lead roles. With the good buzz around, the film managed to do a decent business at the box office. The film opened up with 20 to 25 percent of occupancy in the morning shows, which soared in the evening shows. Well, it reached around 50 to 70 per cent for the evening shows translating into a decent figure at the box office.
So, with such a buzz and report, the 1st-day box office collection of Malang scored around 6.5 Crores at the box office. The experts feel that the film would garner a decent amount of word of mouth buzz in the media. Hence it would be fair to say that first-weekend collection would end up at a decent note. With this, one can expect the collection not less than around 25 to 30 Crores for sure.
Considering the good star cast and decent ratings, the film is likely to garner a good word of mouth buzz in the media. Although there were two more films released on the same including the Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Shikara and the Hina Khan starrer film Hacked. However, these films posed a little amount of competition to Malang. All one can say is that Malang did a good business and things are too rosy for the makers to celebrate this day’s collection at the box office.
