Legendary filmmaker Clint Eastwood announces his next and possibly final directorial endeavour, ‘Juror 2
Clint Eastwood, the legendary actor and filmmaker, is poised to direct his next and most likely final picture, ‘Juror 2’. According to recent media rumours, the 92-year-old director has cast Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette in the starring roles.
‘Juror 2’ is a courtroom drama set during a murder trial and follows a juror, played by Hoult, who realises he may have contributed to the victim’s death. He must choose whether to deceive the jury in order to save himself, or to confess the truth and give himself in. Collette would take on the role of the prosecutor.
Clint will produce the picture alongside Adam Goodman, Tim Moore, Jessica Meier, and Matt Skiena, and Warner Bros will distribute it. There has been no update about when the film will go on floors.
Clint Eastwood’s 40th directorial endeavour is ‘Juror 2.’ He has won Best Director and Best Picture for Unforgiven (1992) and Million Dollar Baby (2004). “Cry Macho,” a modern-day neo-western drama, was Eastwood’s most recent film, released in 2021.
Meanwhile, Collette is presently appearing in Amazon Prime Video’s fantasy drama “The Power,” in which she plays Seattle Mayor Margot Cleary-Lopez. The actress is featured in Catherine Hardwicke’s action-comedy ‘Mafia Mamma,’ which is currently in theatres in the United States.
The horror-comedy ‘Renfield,’ starring Nicholas Hoult and Nicholas Cage, was released in theatres this weekend. Chris McKay directed and produced the picture, which received mixed reviews from critics.
