IB71 Teaser: Vidyut Jammwal, Anupam Kher reveal mystery behind India’s confidential victory in 1971 Indo-Pak war

India’s victory against Pakistan in the 1971 war changed the entire political and geographical landscape of south Asia and the world. But there are many top secrets and unsung heroes who played an important role in changing the entire political dynamic of Asia, and now in the upcoming film IB71, Vidyut Jammwal and Anupam Kher are set to unite to reveal the many mysteries and top secrets behind India’s confidential victory in 1971.

The first teaser for the film has been released, and the 50 second teaser immediately grabs your attention. The teaser begins with IB agent Dev Jammwal (Vidyut Jammwal) organising a one-of-a-kind operation in Indian history. This is a planned suicide mission designed to mislead and outsmart Pakistan government and their army.

Although the teaser doesn’t reveal much about the film’s narrative, it appears that the Indian Army’s strategy to outwit Pakistan involves 30 Indian operatives travelling to Bangladesh disguised as Indian civil passengers to carry out their top secret mission.

Sankalp Reddy, the director and writer of highly acclaimed films such as The Ghazi Attack (2017) has directed IB71. The film’s screenplay  is written by LLP, Sankalp, Arjun Varma, Vasudeva Reddy E, Arun Bhimavarapu, Gargee Singh, Abhimanyu Srivastava based on the Aditya Shastri’s story. Sanju (2018) and Ram Setu (2022) fame Vikram Montrose has composed the music for the film where as film’s cinematography is handled by popular Telugu cinematographer Gnana Shekar V.S..

IB 71, marks Vidyut Jammwal’s first movie as a producer with his production house – Action Hero Film, along with Reliance entertainment and T-series. The film will hit cinemas on 12 May 2023.
