Kartik Aaryan Explains Why He Turned Down Supari and Pan-Masala Endorsements: “I Realized It May Be Incorrect

Over the past 15 years, Kartik Aaryan has risen to stardom in the Hindi film industry. Alongside his success, he has become the face of numerous major brands. However, Kartik has remained steadfast in his ethical stance on endorsements. In a recent interview with The Lallantop, he openly discussed his discomfort with promoting fairness creams and pan-masala products. Kartik disclosed that he has turned down such endorsements, including offers from supari and pan masala brands, as he believes endorsing them goes against his moral values. This decision showcases his dedication to responsible advertising and his desire to set a positive example for his audience.
Kartik recalled his decision not to renew his contract with a fairness brand after a brief endorsement. He explained, “I did an ad for a face cream a long time ago, but I discontinued it. I wasn’t convinced by it, and I chose not to renew it because I realized it may be incorrect.” The actor further expressed, “I have been offered various brands, but I have declined opportunities like supari and pan masala endorsements. I can’t relate to such products, and I try my best to steer clear of them. I can’t judge who is right or wrong since everyone has their own perspective. However, these endorsements don’t align with my values.”Kartik is set to appear in Kabir Khan’s upcoming film, “Chandu Champion.” In this sports biography, he portrays the former Indian paralympic gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar. To portray an athlete in this epic drama, Kartik underwent physical transformations.
The film also features notable actors such as Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Vijay Raaz, Aniruddh Dave, and Palak Lalwani. “Chandu Champion” was filmed in London, Wai, and Jammu & Kashmir. Co-produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan, the film is a collaboration between Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Kabir Khan Films. It is scheduled for release on June 14.Following “Chandu Champion,” Kartik will be seen in Anees Bazmee’s “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.” The film also stars Tripti Dimri and Vidya Balan in significant roles. This horror-comedy is slated to hit the screens on October 31, 2024.
