Munjya Box Office Collection Day 3: Sharvari Wagh’s Film Sees Increased Earnings, Reaches Rs 7.75 Crore on First Sunday

Aditya Sarpotdar’s film, ‘Munjya’, stars Abhay Verma as Bittu, Sharvari Wagh as Bela, and Mona Singh as Pammi, Bittu’s mother. The plot revolves around Bittu, who accidentally releases an angry spirit, Munjya, while returning to his hometown. Bittu then strives to free himself and Bela from the spirit’s grasp, leading to a series of encounters that are both terrifying and humorous.The horror-comedy had a strong start at the box office and continues to perform well.
According to the latest data from Sacnilk.com, the film earned Rs 7.75 crore on its third day. The data shows a steady increase in the film’s collections, with the second and third-day earnings estimated at Rs 7.25 crore and Rs 7.75 crore, respectively. These figures bring the film’s net total to Rs 19 crore. On Sunday, ‘Munjya’ had an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 36.64 per cent.‘Munjya’ is a production of Maddock Films, produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik.
The film explores Indian mythology, introducing the titular monster from the cultural folklore of Pune and the Konkan region of Maharashtra. ‘Munjya’ is the latest addition to Maddock Films’ horror-comedy universe, joining the likes of ‘Bhediya’ (2022), ‘Roohi’ (2021), and ‘Stree’ (2018).Sharvari Wagh, who portrays Bela in the film, expressed her excitement to ANI, stating, “I’m thrilled to see the outstanding start that ‘Munjya’ has received at the box office.
We have made this film with a lot of love, passion, and hard work and I have been praying ever since that ‘Munjya’ becomes a huge hit. It is a film that pushed me to do something remarkably different so early on in my career, and I have to thank my producer, Dinesh Vijan, and my director, Aditya Sarpotdar, for his belief in me to pull off this role.
