Bareilly Ki Barfi and Partition 1947 1st Day Box Office Collection

Bareilly Ki Barfi
This Friday, we had two films releasing in B Town. This certainly include the romantic comedy called Bareilly Ki Barfi, which released amidst the much hyped film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha that seemed dominated all the week. This however, has added an impact over the number of screens the film has got, which is nothing but an average number. The film Bareilly Ki Barfi seemed to have embarked with a good pre-release buzz but with Akshay Kumar starrer movie TEPK, which is still ruling the box office.
The film Bareilly Ki Barfi has received a dull response in morning shows on the very 1st day, which opened up with 15%-20%, which seemed escalating in the evening shows turning to around 70 to 80 percent. This seems to be facing a huge huge competition from Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and along with getting the Hollywood’s horror movie called the Annabelle: Creation.
Thanks for being a content driven movie, the Bareilly Ki Barfi managed to get a decent take off but not a good one as it should. As per reports, the 1st Day Box Office collection netted to around 4 crores. The other film released on this day include Partition 1947, which is a film based on the story of partition and the way things moved amidst the freedom struggle. The film though was released with some amount of buzz in the media but the promotion for the same has been really low, which kept the masses to catch.
The film opened with a meager occupancy, which remained more or less the same scoring a very low collection at the end of the first day. Considering the fact that the film happens to be a niche movie, not much masses seemed turned up to catch the film. As per reports, the 1st day box office collection for Partition 1947 tolled to around 1 crores, which is likely to stay the same in the coming times as well.
