Singh Is Bling Movie Review

Singh Is Bling review

Singh Is Bling is one of the movies releasing this Friday, which will be Akshay Kumar’s fourth film this year. The film is directed by Prabhu Deva, while it is produced by Ashvini Yardi and Jayantilal Gada under the banner of Grazing Goat Pictures along with the group called Pen India Pvt. Ltd. The movie has Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, Lara Dutta and Kay Kay Menon in the pivotal roles. The film falls under the action comedy. The music has come along with Meet Brothers and Sajid-Wajid, while the photography was carried out with Dudley. Now, let us get inside the film to get the gist of it in the following lines:

Story/Plot

The film is all about a common man based in a small village in north India called Raftar Singh, who is known for having ordinary pursuits but at the same time can do anything for his clan. Amidst all his daily activities he comes in touch with a foreigner called Sara played by Amy Jackson. The difference with the man called Mark, it is interesting to see how he manages thing while pursuing his personal stuff and winning the heart of the lovely lady and what happens at the end comes out to be an incredible stuff in the film. Don’t forget to catch up the film to get the glimpse of the same.

Script Analysis

As far as the story is concerned, it will certainly remind you the earlier film of Akshay Kumar made a couple of years before called Singh Is King. Though you may find the central theme to be the same, there are loads of twists and turns to catch up in the film. The director – Prabhudeva is smart enough to use this man – Akshay Kumar in the role of action, comedy and dance, which make Akki different in the B Town. Though the script seemed dull, yet the presence of Akshay Kumar really makes the difference. He has helped the film to remain alive all the time despite having a poor plot, but at the time you need to give some credit to the director as well.

Singh Is Bling Star Performances

Akshay Kumar is a versatile actor, though he specialises in action films but the way he enacts the comedy over the silver screen is equally appreciated. Smart directors are able to exploit his potentials the best for making their film and Prabhudeva is no exception. He has wisely used his skills to portray a perfect blend of humour and action in the film. The combo often works for the actor, which certainly goes opposite to the serious kinds of roles he did in his previous three movies releasing this year. Amy Jackson was no different than Akki, she seemed good doing a great job while even trying certain stunts and action in the film. Lara makes a comeback with this film while playing the translator thus can be called as decent character.

Music, screenplay and other technical aspects

Music seems to be okay, and a couple of the songs from the film is doing better over the chartbusters in different FM Radio channels and other places. Similar is the story with other aspects like screenplay, editing and locations, which went perfect thus adding up the overall value of the film. Though there were certain qualms found in the film but can be easily avoided for the obvious reasons. Talking about the locations, they seemed perfect and went on adding the entertainment value of the film that has been the speciality of SIB.

Singh Is Bling Review Last Word

Singh Is Bling is essentially a comedy film, which is backed by action and drama. The Khiladi was able to portray himself the best over the silver screen, which helps in establishing him a versatile actor. Right from the direction to action, comedy and other elements, the film went decent giving the audience both the opportunity to laugh and catch cool action stunts of this man over the screen. This makes the film a must watch even if you are not among the fans of Akshay Kumar, but if you are his fan, you are certainly not going to miss it for sure.
