The independent film production company, Jigsaw Pictures is ready to debut the web space with their away-from-the-clutter web series that revolves around a corporate web, Thinkistan. The concept of the series is set around the world of Indian Advertising and will be aired on the OTT platform MX Player.
The streaming of the show, Thinkistan will be for free as it premiers on 24th May on MX player.
After delivering a number of 20 seconds to even longer TVCs to a 2 hour long film, finally the Jigsaw Pictures production is unveiling its debut into the web world with this upcoming web series, Thinkistan.
The story of Thinkistan revolves around the 1990’s era when there was a major shift in the advertising industry as there was a massive shift bringing in the Hindi copywriters replacing the English copywriters in the advertising world.
The show will be starring Naveen Kasturia, Shravan Reddy, Mandira Bedi, Neil Boopalam and Satyadeep Mishra as the main lead. The story is written and directed by N Padmakumar.
Sharing his views on this favored launch of Thinkistan, N Padmakumar Writer & Director of Thinkistan said, “To me, chronicling an era and its human movement is the most important aspect of storytelling. On the face of it, Thinkistan is the story of two contrasting characters slugging it out in the seductive, mad world of advertising. One is an English copywriter from a metropolis and the other, a Hindi copywriter from the heartland. Their language and social class form the eventual wedge between them. But the larger narrative of Thinkistan is actually the emergence of the small town in India’s growth story, and the conflict and struggle as a consequence. Ultimately, over a tale spanning over two decades, we realise that ideas have no language and the biggest ideas are the ones that unite us instead of dividing us.”
