It’s Ranbir Kapoor to play Rakesh Sharma in Saare Jahan Se Achcha
After Shah Rukh Khan quit the biopic Saare Jahan Se Accha, we heard many names to play the lead role of the film Saare Jahan Se Accha. These included the Uri fame actor Vicky Kaushal, Simmba actor Ranveer Singh, and Stree actor Rajkummar Rao. However, these simply appeared as names as the makers have finally embarked upon with a new name Ranbir Kapoor who would be playing the astronaut Rakesh Sharma for the said biopic film.
As per the latest buzz, the makers are now gearing up this film and the actor Ranbir Kapoor has already signed the film for playing the essaying the character of Rakesh Sharma. As per reports, Ranbir Kapoor would be playing the titular role of Rakesh Sharma. Ranbir Kapoor has two films in his kitty which include Brahmastra and Shamshera, the former is close to complete, while the latter has just hit the floor. So, he has an ample amount of time to do this film.
Earlier, we heard that Aamir Khan was offered this film but with a busy schedule has led him to recommend the same to Shah Rukh Khan. However, the debacle of his previous film Zero he then opted out from the same. Later we heard a couple of names but now things are clear that Ranbir Kapoor is the part and parcel of this film as a lead actor. Mahesh Mathai directed the film, while Anjum Rajabali has written the story for the film, and Ronnie Screwvala along with Siddharth Roy Kapur will be producing under the banner called RSVP films and Roy Kapur Films.
