This Friday, you have two movies hitting the theatres, which include The Shaukeens and the other is the much hyped Rang Rasiya. Let’s talk about The Shaukeens, it is a remake of 1982 Shaukeen by Basu Chaterjee. The main leads in the movie include the three oldies- Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor, Piyush Mishra along with Akshay Kumar and Lisa Haydon. Hitting the theatres with same old story but with new locations and stars, the movie had a dull start, but took over the Period Drama with good collection at the end of the day.
As per reports, the movie released in more than 1200 screen both over the single screens and multiplexes but was able to impress at the end with a good collection reach out to the figure of around 4 crores at the day slightly better than Rang Rasiya. Seems that the ludicrous oldies are seen scoring the point over the period drama doing waves over the Box office. The trade pundits are expecting a surge in the upcoming two days, which is likely to give a good boost to the collection over Box Office. So at Day One, its the Shuakeens, which is stealing the show and no Rang Rasiya.
