Hindi Box Office: Chhaava Becomes 8th Highest-Grossing Film Ever, While Pushpa 2 Reigns Supreme with 66% Higher Earnings!

Chhaava, featuring Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is making waves at the box office. On its 22nd day, the film celebrated a significant milestone by entering the 500 crore club. This impressive achievement not only marks one of the fastest entries into this exclusive group but also makes Chhaava the eighth Hindi film in history to reach the 500 crore mark based solely on its Hindi collections.

With this accomplishment, Vicky Kaushal joins the ranks of esteemed actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Sunny Deol, Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Prabhas, and Allu Arjun. This is a remarkable feat for Kaushal, especially considering that big names such as Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, and Ajay Devgn have yet to achieve this milestone.

Chhaava is projected to continue its success, with expectations of surpassing the Hindi lifetime collections of Animal (505 crores) and Baahubali 2 (511 crores) today. Given its impressive score of over 6 crores yesterday, the film is on track to hit double digits today, securing its place as the sixth highest-grossing Hindi film at the Indian box office. However, as of now, the list of top grossers is led by Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, which boasts a staggering 836.09 crores—66.31% higher than Chhaava. It looks set to remain at the top for the foreseeable future. However, several upcoming films, including Salman Khan’s Sikandar, Akshay Kumar’s Welcome To The Jungle, and Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR’s War 2, have the potential to enter this prestigious list.
