Aamir Khan is currently busy shooting for his next movie Laal Singh Chaddha with Kareena Kapoor. However, we heard that he had one digital venture called Mahabharat where he would be playing the role of Krishna in it. He called it to be his Magnum Opus in his career, but it seems that the movie has gone at the back burners. As per the sources close to the actor, he was not at all thinking about this web series now as he is tied up with his next movie with Kareena.
We know Aamir Khan to be a one-film man and he leaves no stone unturned to give his best on the silver screen with every film he does. Hence most of his film turns out to be a winner at the box office except the one called Thugs of Hindostan that failed to garner the kind of response is expected. As per reports, Aamir does not want to talk about the web series as he has kept things on hold for it. People close to him call Aamir to be a dreamer but a pragmatic dreamer.
The sources also claim that he has not shelved the project but has kept it on hold as he does one film at a time. He gives all his focus to it. It also claimed that the actor would be doing it on a large scale soaring the budget like anything. Thus in his career, Mahabharat would remain the most expensive project in his career. Earlier we have heard that he has approached Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan for the lead roles. Also, there were rumors that SRK has been approached but since King Khan wanted the role of Krishna, hence he was dropped down.
