Aishwarya Ray Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit’s Devdas
Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played key roles in this 2002 film. At a Durga puja pandal, the iconic dance Dola Re Dola was performed.
Besides this, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali also scripted a scene in which Paro (Aishwarya) asks for a mitti from Chandramukhi’s (Madhuri) aangan to construct an idol of Maa Durga for her baadi. It signals the beginning of a major turning point in the plot, as Paro is barred from leaving her house.
After Devdas, Vidya Balan’s Kahaani makes it to the list
This 2012 film is another addition after Devdas. Kahaani is memorable and regarded as one of the greatest incorporations of Durga Puja in a tale. The drama takes place in Kolkata as the city prepares for Durga Pujo, and it concludes on Dashami, highlighting similarities between the festival’s theme (the triumph of virtue over wicked). In the climax, Vidya Balan beats her husband’s killer like Maa defeats Mahishasura.
With this film, the director intended to tell you that Maa comes once a year, listens to you, and fixes all your problems.
Amitabh Bachchan’s Barsat Ki Ek Raat is next
Amitabh Bachan played a lead role in the multilingual movie, Barsaat Ki Ek Raat. It has also been made as Anusandhan in Bengali. In the movie, he plays a police cop. He spends much of his time outside at work exploring the shady activities of a wicked father-son.
You will see him playing the drums during Durga pujo and defeating Amjad Khan. Then comes the super hit song with a goddess in the background and Bachchan poking fun at the villain while dancing.
Ayushmann Khurrana’s Vicky Donor
