Ekta Kapoor to again create Pavitra Rishta 2.0 as a tribute to Sushant Singh Rajput, Shaheer Sheikh to take up SSR’s role
On Sushant Singh Rajput’s first death anniversary on 14th June, there has been a new update in his debut show Pavitra Rishta. According to the reports the makers are planning to revive the show as a tribute to the late actor. It has also been reported that Ankita Lokhande will be reviving her character as Archana.
Manav which became the household name back then, since the show was immensely popular, will be played by famous TV actor Shaheer Sheikh.
Shaheer Sheikh is set to again come back on the TV with the third season of his upcoming show Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi alongside Erica Fernandes. Shaheer Sheikh also starred in a music video alongside Hina Khan.
If we go by the report published in Pinkvilla then Shaheer Sheikh has been roped in to play the role of Sushant Singh Rajput’s Manav in Pavitra Rishta 2.0. Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying, “Shaheer Sheikh has come on board Pavitra Rishta 2.0 to portray the iconic character of Manav. Ankita will be back to play Archana again after 7 long years. The other cast members will be locked soon.”
Pavitra Rishta 2.0 will reportedly premiere on the OTT platforms. Pavitra Rishta aired on Zee networks in 2009. Produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms the show gained immense love from the audience and it became the most-watched show at that time.
Yesterday on 14th June Sushant Singh Rajput’s fans remembers him on his death anniversary. SSR’s ex-girlfriend and friend Ankita Lokhende also paid her tribute to the actor on her social media.
