‘Don’t Be Shy’ Teaser: Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt’s Coming-of-Age Film Promises Love and Chaos
Prime Video has officially released the first teaser for Don’t Be Shy, an upcoming romantic comedy produced by Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt under their banner, Eternal Sunshine Productions. Written and directed by Sreee i Mukerji, the film marks another major project for the Bhatt sisters following hits like Darlings, Jigra, and Poacher.
The story centers on Shyamili “Shy” Das, a 20-year-old college student who believes she has her life completely planned out. However, an unexpected turn of events disrupts her path, spiraling her carefully built routine into lovely, unpredictable chaos. The narrative explores the highs and lows of early adulthood, touching on first love, deep friendships, heartbreak, and personal discovery.
The project introduces a promising squad of young actors in the lead roles. Aarushi Bajaj plays the titular character, Shy. She is joined by Piyush Khati as Mayank, Bianca Arora as Tara, and Ansh Duggal as Dhruv. Together, the quartet brings a energetic dynamic to the screen, capturing the vibrant atmosphere of college life. Alongside the fresh main cast, the film boasts a strong supporting lineup. Industry veterans Kunaal Roy Kapur, Anurag Basu, Neha Dhupia, and Anju Alva Naik appear in pivotal roles throughout the story.
Co-produced by Grishma Shah and Vikesh Bhutani under Chalkboard Entertainment, Don’t Be Shy is set to make its global debut soon.
