Dhamaal 4 Box Office Collection Day 4: Ajay Devgn’s Comedy Franchise Crosses ₹100 Crore Worldwide Despite Monday Drop

The multi-starrer comedy sequel Dhamaal 4 has officially breached the coveted ₹100 crore mark at the global box office within just four days of its release. Despite facing typical “Monday blues” with a sharp 70.7% drop in collections following an explosive opening weekend, the film’s strong initial momentum safely carried it past the milestone.

Directed by veteran filmmaker Indra Kumar, the movie stars an ensemble cast featuring Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Jaaved Jaaferi.

India and Overseas Box Office Breakdown

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Dhamaal 4 pulled in ₹8.35 crore net in India across 10,598 shows on its first Monday. This brings its total domestic net collection to ₹73.35 crore.

Internationally, the film collected ₹1.50 crore on Day 4, pushing its total overseas earnings to ₹14.50 crore. Globally, the movie’s total gross collection now stands at ₹102.35 crore.

Future Outlook: A Clear Three-Week Window

Despite the standard weekday dip, Dhamaal 4 is well-positioned for a lucrative theatrical run. The film enjoys a three-week clear window before the next Spider-Man film hits theaters. While the upcoming release The Odyssey arrives next week, it targets a vastly different demographic, leaving the family-audience market wide open for the comedy sequel to steady itself over the coming weekdays.

Continuing the legacy of the franchise that began in 2007, the fourth installment centers around a chaotic, high-stakes treasure hunt fueled by situational humor and the trademark comic timing of its lead cast.

Director Addresses Script Controversy

Off-screen, the film recently generated social media chatter regarding weight-targeted jokes aimed at actress Anjali Anand. In a recent conversation with Mid-Day, director Indra Kumar defended the screenplay:

“I really loved Anjali, and she was very happy with the role. She has done an excellent job. The humour has context within the story, and the character arc gives those jokes meaning rather than reducing her to them.”
