Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh Expecting Their Baby on September 28 in Mumbai: Report

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are preparing to welcome their first child together! The beloved couple, who tied the knot in 2018, shared the joyous news of Deepika’s pregnancy through a heartfelt Instagram post in February. According to a recent report from News18 Showsha, Deepika’s due date is approaching, with expectations that she will give birth in Mumbai rather than London, as previously speculated. She is anticipated to deliver the baby on September 28.A source revealed to the portal, “Deepika and Ranveer are excitedly looking forward to this new chapter in their lives and are currently busy creating a cozy space for their little one. If everything goes according to plan, she will deliver at a hospital in South Bombay. For now, Deepika is relishing the break she has taken from work.”

Deepika’s Maternity Leave

Deepika is expected to be on maternity leave until March 2025, allowing her to dedicate quality time to her newborn. “Her maternity leave will last until March of next year. After that, she’ll jump right into filming the sequel of Kalki, alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Prabhas,” the source added.

In their February pregnancy announcement, Deepika and Ranveer simply posted about their baby’s arrival in September 2024, featuring baby-related emojis without any additional caption.

The announcement followed weeks of speculation regarding Deepika’s pregnancy, partly fueled by her appearance at the BAFTAs, where she presented an award while wearing a saree that subtly concealed her baby bump. Deepika was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. Soon, she will appear with Ranveer Singh and other stars in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, which is set to hit theaters in November 2024.

Talking about the work, Deepika is not taking up any project for obvious reasons, while Ranveer Singh is the part of couple of films including the Farhan Akhtar’s venture – Don 3.
