‘Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai’ (2000) fame actress Ameesha Patel who is known for keeping her social media followers entertained with her bold photoshoots, has found herself in a legal trouble.

A civil court in Ranchi has issued a warrant against Ameesha Patel and her business partner Krunal in a fraud and cheque bounce case under sections 420 and 120 of the CrPC, according to a report in India

It all started when a film producer, who identified himself as Ajay Kumar Singh, filed a complaint against Ameesha Patel and her business partner. The actress had invited him to make a financial commitment to a movie called Desi Magic, according to the formal complaint. In order to finance the film’s production, promotion, and marketing, Ajay Kumar Singh wired Rs 2.5 crore to Ameesha’s bank account. Although the film’s production began in 2013, it hasn’t yet been finished.

Ameesha put off returning the checks despite him communicating with her repeatedly. She later sent him two checks for Rs. 2.5 crore and Rs. 50 lakh in October 2018. However, the checks were returned unpaid. According to India Today, neither Ameesha nor her attorney showed up in court for the summons to maintain her stand. As a result, the next hearing in the matter was set for 15 April.

She borrowed money to shoot a movie, and a Bhopal court issued a warrant against her that is subject to a bail bond.

On the work front, will next be seen in Gadar 2: The Katha Continues opposite Sunny Deol. The film is a sequel to Gadar (2001) and is scheduled to be released in cinemas on 11 August 2023.
