Confirmed! Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan will debut in Bollywood with the YRF’s Maharaja

The Bollywood star Aamir Khan‘s son Junaid Khan is going to enter the industry. With YRF entertainment, Junaid—who has a wealth of theatrical expertise and has appeared in several well-regarded plays—will make his acting debut. A historical drama would be used to introduce Junaid by the production industry, which has aided celebs like Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma in their early careers.

The first-period drama, which will be helmed by Sidharth P Malhotra, is titled “Maharaja”. In a recent interview, Jaideep Ahlawat said that Junaid will make his leading man debut in YRF’s Maharaja.

The movie also features Jaideep Ahlawat in the cast. He will play the role of Jadunathji Brijratanji Maharaj, a religious leader who is charged with having adulterous affairs with a number of his female devotees. Maharaja’s female lead has been cast as Sharvari Wagh, who will make her acting debut in the YRF movie Bunty Aur Babli 2.

The 1862 Maharaj Libel Case, in which the Maharaj sued journalist and reformer Karsandas Mulji for publishing an essay that questioned the ideals of the Vallabhacharya Sampradaya, a Hindu sect of which the Maharaj was a member, serves as the basis for the upcoming YRF film Maharaja.

Rumor has it that Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan will play the journalist Karsandas Mulji on a set being constructed on Madh Island by the movie’s producers. Siddharth P. Malhotra, the project’s director, plans to begin filming at the beginning of 2021.
