Chhaava Worldwide Box Office Day 13: Vicky Kaushal-Rashmika Mandanna Starrer Crosses ₹500 Cr, Becomes 2025’s First Blockbuster

Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, has been on a remarkable box office run since its release on February 14th. The film has emerged as one of the biggest hits of 2025 so far, crossing the coveted ₹500 crore mark at the global box office. In its 13-day theatrical journey, Chhaava has become Vicky Kaushal’s highest-grossing film and the first blockbuster of the year. The film’s net collection in India has reached ₹385 crores, with a gross collection of ₹434.75 crores. Globally, Chhaava has amassed a staggering ₹509.75 crores, with the overseas markets contributing ₹75 crores.
On its second Wednesday, which was Mahashivratri, the film saw a spike in collections and occupancy. The overall occupancy for the day stood at 34.43%, with Pune leading the charge at 58.75% occupancy. Other key markets like Mumbai (50.50%), Hyderabad (33%), and Delhi-NCR (25.75%) also witnessed strong numbers.Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted that Chhaava is expected to cross the ₹400 crore mark in India on its second Thursday, cementing its status as a true blockbuster. Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, Chhaava also stars Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, Divya Dutta, and Vineet Kumar Singh in pivotal roles. Due to popular demand, the film will be re-released in Telugu on March 7th.With its remarkable box office performance, Chhaava has solidified Vicky Kaushal’s position as a leading Bollywood star, while also marking a significant milestone in Rashmika Mandanna’s career, as the film becomes her third-highest grosser after Pushpa 2: The Rule and Animal.
