Box Office: Vin Diesel’s ‘Fast X’ has a good start at the box office on first two days: ‘The Kerala Story’ continues it’s dream run
Vin Diesel’s ‘Fast X’, the 10th installment of the Fast And Furious franchise, opened to really good numbers on the first day. The film managed to earn Rs. 12.50 crore on its first day which is an excellent figure for a Hollywood film. Interestingly it is also the best figure for any Hollywood film in India in 2023. The film has put behind films like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (Rs. 5.23 crore), Antman and The Wasp: Quantumania (Rs. 9 crore), and the recent release Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (Rs. 7.30 crore).
According to recent media sources, the film grossed 10% more on its second day and made Rs. 13 crore nett. This brings the film’s total box office collection in two days to Rs. 25.50 crore nett. Fast X was released one day prior (on 18 May) to it’s international release (19 May) and it’s still managed to earn respectable collection on first two days and is already on its way to cross the lifetime box office collection of many anticipated Bollywood and Hollywood films within it’s first weekend.
Fast and Furious is one of the most celebrated series in India from the West because the feeling is considerably more ingrained and universal, and the film is predicted to earn more than Rs. 55 crore nett in its first weekend.In terms of global collections, the film is expected to gross more over $200 million in its extended first weekend.
Along with Vin Diesel, the film also stars Jason Momoa, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Alan Ritchson, Helen Mirren, Brie Larson, Rita Moreno, Jason Statham, John Cena, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Scott Eastwood, Daniela Melchior, and Charlize Theron in supporting roles.
Helmed by Louis Leterrier, the film also marks Dwayne Johnson’s return to the franchise as Luke Hobbs after four years.
Meanwhile, Adah Sharma starrer ‘The Kerala Story’ continues it’s dream run at the box office as it minted Rs. 6.50 crore nett on 15th day taking it’s total collection to Rs. 178 crore nett.
