The upcoming Hindi movie Bombay Velvet links to the neo noir drama category for tits genre. The film shall be directed by Anurag Kashyap apart from being one of the co producers of the film. The movie is based on the popular book “Mumbai Fables” by the eminent historian Gyan Prakash. Set against the backdrop of Bombay in the 1960s, the film narrates the stories of the crashes between the dreams & aspirations with the raw realities for a boxer and an upcoming singer of Jazz style of music.

James Elroy’s sequences of a quadrilateral of crime stories inspired the director the make this film. These crime stories that were documented on the canvas of Los Angeles, way back in the 1940s and the 1950s, actually made the director to dig up the darker trenches in the history of the city of Bombay. As per the director, digging the trench he founded treasures the trove of which shall never end.

The lead roles had been casted with Ranbir kapoor as the boxer while Anushka Sharma shall play the role of the emerging singer. Raveena Tandon, Key Key Menon, Karan Johar, Siddhartha Basu, Remo Farnandes and Manish Chowdhury shall be seen to get casted in the important roles of this film.

Amit Trivedi had taken up the responsibility to direct the soundtrack for Bombay Velvet that shall have the essence of Jazz music to comply with the screenplay. The screenplay of this movie had been jointly worked over by two of the most eminent directors from the industry, Karan johar and the director of this film. The audience can definitely expect some exceptional works of cinematography that is take care by Rajeev Ravi.

If the synopsis of the movie and the star cast entices one to catch the first show of it, the individual have to wait till the month of May next year while it hits the floor.
