Bollywood actors who went through mental stress while playing complex characters

Bollywood actors often put too much effort into their characters getting immersed into it. That’s because they want it to appear real on the screen. “You must closely feel the character to get into it.”- Agreed, rught?

So when actors prepare to play a role, they undergo many physical and sometimes even mental changes. Their excess investment in it takes a toll on their mental health.

We have read about instances when these talented actors almost transform into the characters they play, and it becomes difficult for them to come out of that identity.

Today, we bring you a list of such Bollywood actors in the industry.

Priyanka Chopra in Bajirao Mastani

Bollywood’s Desi Girl aka Priyanka Chopra also went through this situation. In the film ‘Bajirao Mastani,’ Priyanka Chopra played the role of Bajirao’s wife Kashibai. Kashibai had the personality of a wife whose husband brings another wife into her palace.

Speaking to the media, Priyanka said that this character was very difficult for her because she is very sensitive. Her heart used to break while speaking Kashibai’s dialogues. This movie is available on Prime Video.

Deepika Padukone in Chaapaak

Rajkummar Rao in Trapped

‘Trapped’ is one of Rajkummar Rao’s best films to date. In this film, he played the character of a boy who accidentally gets locked in a house with no electricity or water.

During the promotions, Rajkumar said that it was very difficult for him physically and mentally to prepare for this project. He spent around 20 days eating only carrots and drinking coffee. You can watch ‘Trapped’ on Prime Video.

Janhvi Kapoor in Mili

Janhvi Kapoor recently appeared in her latest film, ‘Mili’ where the actress can be seen in one of the most challenging roles of her career. She also felt something familiar while doing the film. Similar to Trapped, this is also a survival story in which Mili gets trapped in a freezer while struggling to save her life.

In a conversation with Paps, Janhvi mentioned that the shooting of the film had taken a toll on her mental health. She used to dream that she was in the freezer. She had also fallen ill and had been on painkillers for two to three days. Sunny Kaushal stars opposite Janhvi in this film.
