7 Bollywood actors up for the Hindi remakes/adaptation of popular international titles
While Bollywood may not always produce the most inspiring films, it does not fail to draw inspiration from all over the world. They’ve mostly resorted to taking popular western films and replicating them scene by scene. The following is a list of seven actors who will star in official Hindi remakes of some highly successful overseas films.
1. Wamiqa Gabbi in the remake of ‘Modern Love’
The young and talented actor, Wamiqa Gabbi will be starring in The Anne Hathway-starrer Modern Love series called ‘Modern Love: Mumbai’. The project, which will be supported by Amazon Prime Video, will be a romantic comedy anthology that will feature six distinct and critically recognized Hindi film directors. In the show, Wamiqa Gabbi will appear with Pratik Gandhi and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
2. Aamir Khan in Forest Gump’s Hindi remake, Laal Singh Chaddha
‘Forest Gump,’ a 1994 classic starring Tom Hanks, is getting a Hindi adaptation, with Aamir Khan playing the eponymous character. As soon as the news was announced, it went viral, causing all of his admirers to be ecstatic. The renowned 3 Idiots team of Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, and Mona Singh reunite in this film.
3. Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in the remake of ‘The Intern’
Deepika Padukone made her debut as a producer with ‘Chhapaak,’ and soon after revealed her next project, a Hindi version of the Hollywood classic ‘The Intern,’ in which she will act with megastar Amitabh Bachchan. The film is a close-knit, relationship-driven drama set in and around the workplace, with a tale that is particularly relevant to today’s social and cultural climate. Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway are among the original international star cast members.
4. Taapsee Pannu in the remake of ‘Julia’s Eyes’, called ‘Blur’
‘Blur,’ a Hindi version of the Spanish psychological thriller Julia’s Eyes, will be co-produced by Taapsee Pannu. Gulshan Devaiah also appears in the film, which will be her debut co-production. The film follows a woman who is gradually losing her sight while attempting to solve the death of her twin sisters. The concept of this film, as well as the news that Taapsee would be playing the lead part, has already piqued our interest! Let’s hoping the studio announces the release date as soon as possible.

Rudra: The Edge Of Darkness is a psychological crime drama based on the British television series Luther. The show stars Ajay Devgn, Esha Deol, Raashii Khanna, and Atul Kulkarni in the key roles. The show also represents Ajay’s first foray into the digital realm. 7. Aditya Roy Kapur in the Hindi remake of ‘The Night Manager’
With a remake of the British popular series ‘The Night Manager,’ Aditya Roy Kapur makes his web series debut. Tom Hiddleston starred as an undercover agent in the first film, which was an espionage thriller. He will portray the title character in the Hindi remake.
