Fans welcomed the Big Bang Theory cast into their living rooms for 12 seasons before saying goodbye to the sitcom. Even though one of the most popular shows ended almost three years ago, the stars did not vanish after the show. In fact, they’ve appeared in a slew of projects since then.
Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper), Kaley Cuoco (Penny Teller), Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter), Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz), Kunal Nayyar (Raj Koothrappali), Mayim Bialik (Amy Farrah Fowler), and Melissa Rauch (Bernadette Rostenkowski) portrayed a group of physicists and their significant others. The show aired on CBS from September 2007 to May 2019.
You must have been wondering what the actors of the big bang theory were up to all these three years. Since The Big Bang Theory ended in 2019, the cast has worked on a variety of projects. Let’s see what Big Bang Theory cast and where are they now:

Jim Parsons aka Sheldon Cooper
Jim Parsons, a Big Bang Theory cast member, even won Emmys for his outstanding performance in the series. He also provided voiceovers for Young Sheldon, a spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. In Call Me Kat, Parsons collaborated with his on-screen wife, Mayim Bialik. Additionally, he frequently appeared in television shows like The Simpsons, Hollywood, and Pete The Cat and feature films like The Boys in the Band and Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile.
He also appeared in an episode of The Simpsons. Back in 2014, in a conversation with Vulture, Jim Parsons said, “There’s not anything to keep up with. You don’t go, I didn’t see the first three seasons, and now they’re off with prostitutes, and they no longer work in the Mafia, and I don’t understand what happened. People have so many choices on TV now, so no one’s asking for you to marry us. You can enjoy our show without a weekly appointment.” He also added, “I think it’s as simple as the look of the show.” (It’s a multi-camera sitcom, with lots of primary colors, set in two apartments that are never really redecorated.) “It’s a bit of eye candy in its own way.”
In terms of his personal life, Sheldon Cooper now married Todd Spiewak.

Johnny Galecki aka Leonard Hofstadter
The cast of Big Bang Theory also included Johnny Galecki, she starred in The Conners. He has also appeared in films such as Rings, A Dog’s Journey, and The Cleanse, among others. Leonard Big Bang Theory actor and Alaina Meyer also had a son in 2019.
Kaley Cuoco aka Penny Teller from Big Bang Theory
After The Big Bang Theory, Cuoco has starred in The Flight Attendant which also helped her bag a Golden Globe nomination. She has also been a part of Harley Quinn, 8 Simple Rules, Charmed, Hop, and Young Sheldon, among others. Cuoco married Karl Cook in 2018, but the duo announced their split in September 2021.

Mayim Bialik aka Amy Farrah Fowler
She was about the female cast of the Big Bang Theory. Bialik joined the show in 2010 and has remained an integral part of the show ever since. Following the series, she starred in Call Me Kat and hosted several episodes of Jeopardy! after Alex Trebek died. Bialik has also appeared in several television episodes, including Little Tikes’ STEM Jr., Vampirina, and The News Tank. Her newest project, The Inspector Chronicles, which is about a space traveler who can also travel through time, was just announced.
Simon Helberg aka Howard Wolowitz
Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) is an aerospace engineer at Caltech’s Department of Applied Physics. Howard, unlike Sheldon, Leonard, and Raj, lacks a college diploma, and as a result, he is frequently mocked, especially by Sheldon. Howard used to live with his domineering, demeaning, and unseen mother until he married Bernadette, becoming the first of the gang to marry.
After taking a break after The Big Bang Theory, Helberg returned to acting with Annette, a musical drama. Along with other original cast members, Helberg voices his younger self in the show’s spin-off, Young Sheldon. Helberg is currently in As They Made Us, a drama written and directed by his former co-star Mayim Bialik, playing Nathan.

Kunal Nayyar aka Rajesh Koothrapalli
Nayyar, who was born in London and raised in New Delhi, earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Portland in 2003. Only four years later, he landed the lead role on The Big Bang Theory, which lasted 12 seasons until 2019.
On May 1, he returned to the University of Portland to deliver an address to the class of 2022 from the Chiles Center, beginning by joking that his wife would have to refer to him as “Doctor” from now on. He was earlier quoted as saying, “The more you know yourself, the more you begin to see the world the way it actually is, not the way you think it should be because all of us are trying to fit this infinite universe into a finite understanding,” he said. “We’re trying to mold the world into this tiny box so we can control it. But I think to be joyful, light, and peaceful, it may be helpful to loosen the grip you have on this world a little. Do your thing. Let the universe do its thing too because nothing lasts forever.”
Big Bang Theory final cast also included Nayyar who has appeared in films such as Trolls World Tour, Think Like a Dog, Sweetness in the Belly, Trolls Holiday, and Hotel Mumbai, among others. He married Neha Kapur in 2011.

Melissa Rauch aka Bernadette Rostenkowski
Melissa Rauch has appeared in films such as The Bronze, Ode to Joy, Batman and Harley Quinn, The Laundromat, and Cats and Dogs 3: Paws Unite. She also did cameos in Robot Chicken, Animaniacs, and The Chicken Squad. She also co-starred in The Laundromat, a Netflix comedy-drama with Meryl Streep.
She gave birth to her second child in 2020. Describing her “surreal” experience she said, “Words can’t describe how grateful I am to have this baby boy join our family, but to say that it is a surreal time to be bringing life into the world is an understatement.”
“Given that, I wanted to share some thoughts with other expectant mothers or ‘Pandemamamas’ – as I like to call us – who are navigating these uncharted waters… So to those dealing with infertility or grieving a loss, please know you are in my heart and I’m sending you so much love,” she added.
Supporting Big Bang Theory Cast:
Despite having to focus on seven main characters, The Big Bang Theory managed to include a slew of supporting characters as well. Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman) and Barry Kripke (John Ross Bowie) are two of the most prolific minor characters, but they are far from alone.
In fact, The Big Bang Theory had its fair share of celebrity guests, including Mark Hamill and Brent Spiner. Unfortunately, as one might expect, these infrequent faces didn’t get to spend much time in the spotlight, even though fans would have preferred to see them more frequently.
The fandom of The Big Bang Theory wishes this one of the show’s unforgettable side characters could have appeared in more episodes.
