Now, let’s check the crux of this comedy movie as under:

Welcome To Karachi  Story

The film is based loosely on the Hollywood blockbuster film called Dumb and Dumber starring Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. It is a political satire about two Indians – Shammi played by Arshad Warsi and Kedar as played by Jackky Bhagnani. Kedar who wants to visit America, however, every time he applies for his visa, he is seen meeting the rejections. This brings in the man called Shammi (Arshad Warsi) who is his friend and he decides to help in making his dream come true. Shammi comes out with an idea of visiting America by covering the distance by a boat. With all said and done, the two sets off their journey towards the great land of America, however, they are seen landing up to our neighboring country Pakistan caught by the dreaded groups of Taliban in the outskirts of Karachi. Then follows a huge amount of hilarious sequences as the two tries to flee away from the alien land to India. So, amidst all quirky comedy, will they be able to flee away is an interesting question to explore, which can only be answered when you catch the movie.

Welcome To Karachi Performances Review

The movie has some of the best names when it comes to comedy- Arshad Warsi. The director Ashish R Mohan, who has ample amount of experience in making a number of comedy movies has once again seen scoring a point by making a very hilarious satire film for his audience. Now, talking about the performance of Arshad Warsi in the role of Shammi, he is fantastic in his job. In fact, his experience of doing a number of comic roles has helped him to perform the best over the silver screen. He and his comic timing is incredible, which can easily beat others when it comes to humour. One interesting trait, which Arshad enjoys is realistic and natural acting skills, which makes him the king of comedy in modern Hindi Cinema.

His dialogue delivery, his body language and his comic timing, everything remains very much impressive for the actor. You are certainly going to laugh a lot while catching this film. Jacky Bhagnani is seen trying comedy with this film, however, he was often seen overshadowed by Arshad and others as well. He needs some time to fine tune his acting skills and comedy is one of the toughest things to try, which he seems to have tried. All we can say is not bad, yet he has too many spaces for improvement. The others including the actor from Pakistan called Ayub Khoso playing the Taliban leader was also fantastic in his performance. Lauren Gottlieb, in the character of an ISI Agent too was impressive.

Script Analysis and Technical Elements

The script reminds the story Filmistaan, which has similar plot to some extent. Though the two films appear similar to some extent yet can be called as very much different in many ways. Welcome 2 Karachi is nothing by comedy, which is being tried to crack in the fierce and dreaded environment of Taliban terror camp. Backed by a story with some difference and cool performances, the film has gone a long way to witness some cool performances of B Town actors especially of Arshad Warsi. The director is skilled enough to bring out the best from Arshad Warsi, which comes out in a perfect pace of comedy cracked on a right time with perfect timing. The story of the film is simple and straight not much to offer except the quirky comedy dialogues, hilarious moments and healthy humour, which makes the film better than the others. The locations were excellent, which showcased Karachi amidst the land of the UK, which was castigated from the people of Pakistan for portraying the city under the shadow of guns and Taliban terror. That’s not all, you have much more than comedy, which comes in the form of item number, which has the presence of sensual actress in the film. Some songs were seen having some repeat value for festive street dancing, while others prove perfect for the clubs.
