Gangubai Kathiawadi passed with U/A certificate by CBFC; replaced ‘m*****d’ with ‘madarjaat’
Gangubai Kathiawadi is an upcoming Hindi Bollywood film of 2022 which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and the film is a biographical film. The film will have a theatrical release on 25 February 2022. Gangubai Kathiawadi is a big-budget movie featuring Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. Fans are going crazy and they can’t wait to see the film in theatres, hence the hype for the film is so high.
According to BH, Gangubai Kathiawadi was cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) way back on December 30, 2021. The CBFC granted the film a U/An endorsement yet solely after the creators did four changes. The oppressive word ‘m*****d’ was eliminated and supplanted by ‘madarjaat’. Furthermore, a 43-second lengthy discourse was eliminated and the visuals of India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru inserting a rose on Gangubai’s shoulder were appropriately changed. Thirdly, a 17-second-long exchange and visuals were chopped out and finally, disclaimers were set up in both English and Hindi and the length of each slide was expanded by 5 seconds.
After these progressions were made, the censor certificate was conceded to the creators of Gangubai Kathiawadi. In the interim, on February 17, the creators moved toward the CBFC back to make two deliberate alterations. Notwithstanding, these were relating to the augmentations and erasures made in the ‘Thank You’ record at the outset and in the credits eventually. The last span of the film, as referenced on the authentication after the changes on February 17, is 156 minutes and 51 seconds. At the end of the day, Gangubai Kathiawadi is 2 hours, 36 minutes, and 51 seconds in length.
