First day box office collection of Bewakoofiyaan
Nupur Asthana’s movie Bewakoofiyaan released this Friday in an estimated 2000 screens in India. Being released without any major Hindi movie coming out, it was expected to do well at the box office. However, it picked up a slow start the very first day despite some big names involved in promoting the same. As per the figures gathered through various sources, the so called big budget movie having some good stars like Ayushman Khurana, Sonam Kapoor and the veteran Rishi Kapoor, Bewakoofiyaan seems to fail to rock the box office over its first day.
This is mostly due to the slow and dull exam time and somewhat poor script, which didn’t catch the hold of the audience. Ironically the movie had all the ingredients to give a good start at the Box office, right from having a couple of intimate scenes between the two stars to Sonam’s first Bikini show, nothing really worked out to score high over the box office. The figure at the very first day seemed dull with only 20 to 25 percent occupancy evident in the morning and afternoon shows. If you check some of the important factors hampering the box office collection, it was the Pre Holi busyness and the exam time, which stopped the buck here. But if you believe the experts and critics, the movie could do better in the coming days.
But despite all odd, the movie was able to catch up the first day collection of approximately 4 crores while the collection at overseas marketed seemed pretty low closed at 1.5 million in terms of INR. As per experts, Bewakoofiyaan has all the substance to make the movie do good business in the coming days and its signs would be soon noticed as we pass on to the two weekend days of Saturday and Sunday. Luckily with Monday as a holiday for the festive time Holi, the extended weekend and of course with no other movie to watch along, Bewakoofiyaan is likely to see certain escalation in the business. Well, let’s wait and watch!
