Hindi cinema’s prolific actor Ayushmann Khurrana’s last release, ‘Shubh Mangal Jyada Savdhan’, has seen the biggest impact in America. When the film was praised by US President Donald Trump after the release of the film, the animation studio Pixar has also launched a gay character in his new film ‘Out’. From the point of view of animation films, this is the first time an animation film will feature a gay character in the lead role.

One of the biggest animation studios in terms of animation films, Pixar launched its first gay character in a lead role. He has composed a short film ‘Out’ in which the studio has created history in the world of animation genre by showing the main character gay. Since Pixar now belongs to Disney, this short film is also airing on Disney’s OTT Disney Plus.

The story of this short film ‘Out’ revolves around a boy named Greg who hides the secret of his homofierce desire from his parents. In this nearly nine-minute film, Greg talks to himself in the absence of his parents, and makes several attempts that his lover Manuel may not be able to meet his parents. Disney Plus has launched a teaser of the film on its social media account in which some glimpses of the film are seen.

The main gay character shown in this short film is the first animation gay character not only for Pixar but also for Disney. However, nowhere in the brief about the officially released film from the studio does the word gay or Greg’s fierce desire be defined. Nor is it mentioned in the clip shared on the studio’s social media account. This is gauged only by Greg’s conversation and attachment to his lover’s photo.
