Ashmeet Kharbanda and Aman Vasishth Roped in for ALTBalaji’s It Happened in Calcutta

Ashmeet Kharbanda and Aman Vasishth have been roped in for ALTBalaji’s upcoming web romantic web series It Happened in Calcutta. ALTBalaji is mostly known for creating its original content that ranges from mass entertainment to hosting a long list of path-breaking series.

The OTT platform has recently announced its upcoming web series titled, It Happened in Calcutta, which was much of hype amongst the audience as it will be launching a fresh face Naghma Rizwan who has been chosen by Ekta Kapoor after a search of 2.5 years to bag the role of the lead lady for the series. With all eyes on her and co-star Karan Kunddra, the reputed director Ken Ghosh will be the man behind depicting this heartfelt love story set in city of Kolkata in the 60s and 70s. Ken is known to directing some of his major works like Haq se, DevDD and XXX.

The story of the series is set around the year 1960s in the ‘City of Joy- Calcutta’. It goes around a young girl, aspiring to become a doctor in the city. She gets into Calcutta Medical College to pursue her dream that ends up making her fall in love with the young flamboyant handsome boy, bringing in a lot of twist in the tale.

It has been recently learned from the sources that Ashmeet Kharbanda and Aman Vasishth (Raazi) will be joining the cast, soon. The actors are supposed to take up their respective roles of Indraneil and Subhash.
