Arjun Kanungo is a singer, composer and actor who hails for Mumbai. He was born on 6th September 1990 in Mumbai and raised in the city only. He did his schooling from Mumbai and later headed to the US in New York City to join Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. He also got his training in Indian classical singer and plays guitar and piano. He started working when he was 18, and explored various entrepreneurial ventures in his recording studio known as Promethean Audio.
Later he tried his luck in acoustic design followed by embarking with the venture called Promethean Design. He then gained popularity as a playback singer for a couple of Bollywood movies like Pizza and Go Goa Gone and Pizza. Also, he worked as a vocalist and was seen touring to places like Sri Lanka, UAE, and Australia with veteran singers like Asha Bhosle. He also composed a number of TV ads and background music piece and worked for top brands including Nike Cricket and ESPN. In 2015, he did his debut in Baaki Baatein Peene Baad on the platform called Sony Music India and was featured with the known rapper Badshah.
Some of his other songs that went popular include Fursat, Ek Dafaa, Gallan Tipsiyaan, and others. Some of his recent songs include La La La, Aaya Na Tu, Photograph, Tu Na Mera and Woh Baarishein to name a few. He worked with music composers like AR Rahman, Sachin-Jigar, and Mithoon along with others. He bagged awards like Global Indian Music Academy Awards for his debut song called Baaki Baatein Peene Baad for the category of Jagjit Singh Award for the Best Music for the non-films. Talking about his personal life, he is single and not ready to mingle as he is focussing on his career.
