After staying away from a year or so, Anushka Sharma is back in the news for her next film. The last time we saw the lady was in the film Zero with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. The debacle gave her a break from the films and enjoy a good time with her hubby enjoying the World Cup and other cricketing events in India and abroad. She is now returning with her next film which is a biopic to be made on Jhulan Goswami the former Indian Cricket Team Skipper.
As per the latest buzz, the film has hit the floor and the lady was seen dressing up in her cricketing dress at the Eden Gardens, Calcutta to begin the shoot. The former Indian Cricket Skipper Goswami also joined the diva on the ground for the first shoot at the iconic stadium in West Bengal capital. It was a busy shooting that went on till 5 am in the morning, while Anushka winded up till 4 am and then returned to Mumbai to shoot a promo on 25th Jan.
Talking about the film it is based on the Indian cricketer Jhulan Nishit Goswami who happens to be an all-round cricketer, while she has remained the former captain of India’s national women’s cricket team. However, she got her retirement in the year 2018 from the WT 20Is. She has bagged a couple of awards as well, which include getting the ICC Women’s Player of the Year in 2007 along with getting the Best Women Cricketer in 2011 for M.A. Chidambaram Trophy.
