All Is Well between Abhishek Varman & Karan Johar despite Kalank debacle
We have seen the difference between the directors and producers when the film fails at the box office. We have seen a similar difference between Rohit Shetty and Shah Rukh Khan when their film – Dilwale failed to work well at the box office with the clash of Bajirao Mastani the same year. However, the case with Kalank director Abhishek Varman and Karan Johar the producer of the historical drama film seems to be different. Things are good between the two and we have a proof for the same.
Despite the debacle of Kalank, the director Abhishek Varman has bagged another Dharma Productions’ film owned by Karan Johar. This is all because Karan Johar has taken the failure of the film in the right spirit. He has moved up rather than cribbing for the failure and headed to London for the final negotiation on his next ventures. Though there were rumors that Karan Johar seems to have some issues with the director of Kalank, but it all proved out to be mere gossip and away from all facts.
On the contrary, the filmmaker has given his next film to Abhishek Varman keeping all his trust in his capabilities. In fact, it was Karan only who made him feel better and forget about the failure of Kalank. He also reminded the director has given some good films to the B Town and Dharma Productions like 2 States. And now when the film Kalank has failed at the box office, it’s okay to move on with another venture. He also informed the director that he is now working with another script and will be roping him in as a director for the same.
