EXCLUSIVE: Akshay Kumar talks about his hits and flop, reacts on multi- starrer film and much more
The whole team of Bachchhan Paandey is currently busy with the promotions as the Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon starrer film is all set to release on 18th March on the occasion of Holi. Well during an interview with the media, Akshay Kumar happened to open up about a lot regarding his back-to-back releases, his scripts, and of course his soon-to-be-released film Bachchhan Paandey.
In the interview, the Khiladi actor was asked about his years back statement stating himself as ‘producers actor’ and how did it changed as the actor is now himself a producer, to which the actor responded, ” I am the same only, my thinking is still the same according to me my thinking is budget hit toh film hit and I have gone with it. I have made my all films in a proper budget in a proper time, I have never wasted my co-actors time or anybody’s time and because I think everybody deserves their time to respected so I always make sure that I respect to time, not only my time but others time also.”
After that, Akshay was also asked about what is the formula that the actor has all king of Massy and classy film. Reverting to this, he said there is no formula, according to him everything is got to with the luck. He says, “I feel lucky that I have gone through this. Kabhi kabhi filmey chalti hai, kabhi kabhi bohot sari chalti hai kabhi kabhi flop bhi ho jati hai. I have seen 14 to 16 flops at one time.”
He further said, “Basically there is no formula, everything is luck and everything is hard work and all together they give you and you should keep on working and you will find the way.”
He was further asked about the factors on how does he select his script as the actor has back to back films in 2022. Akshay said I always look upon what is different ?, what is new ?, what is the issue ?, have I done this before? these are the small thing that I look up to.
The actor also revealed that he is very fond of music and also keen on buying artists’ music, further he also punned saying he has his own “mini TSeries”.
Concluding the interview, the actor was questioned about his views on 2-3 heroes and multi-starrer films. To which he said, “I would not say names but there is a dirt of people thinking, actor thinking ki let’ s not do a two-hero, three hero films. I keep on scratching my head and I don’t understand why they don’t want to do it. It is so wonderful to do a three hero subject, four hero subject, even five hero subject – what happens in Hollywood.”
Akshay Kumar continued, “What happens here is that they don’t want to do it. Do mein hi badi mushkil se mante hai log. Haath pair jhodne padta hai. Samaj mein hi nahi aata mera ki kyu nahi kar sakte ho. Kyu nahi kar sakta ki chaar ladkiya hai aur mai akela hu, kyu nahi kar sakta. (Even to get two actors is a task. You have to beg. I don’t understand why they behave like that.)” He added, “So things will change I presume. One day it will happen.”
To Akshay’s this answer, the actor was asked why does he select 2-heroes, 3-heroes and multi-starrer projects. Akshay said, “Because the script is nice. I want to do it. I want to be part of a good film. I want to be part of a hit film rather than what is my role. Mai apne role ka aachar dalunga!?” He continued, “If it is a three hero subject and mera role theek hai lekin picture ki kahaani bahot badiya hai toh I would want to be a part of it. Kyuki kal koi baat karega toh bolega ki ‘yeh bhi tha film mein.’ It’s a hit film, it’s a big film. 300 crore ka dhanda hua hai, so it is going to benefit me also. (If it is a 3-hero film and my part is small but the story is good, I would want to be a part of it. Because in future when people talk about the hit film they will remember I was part of it.).”
