After Cocktail 2, Shahid Kapoor Dives into Farzi 2—Scores His Biggest Paycheck of ₹40 Crores!

The film is being shot in Italy and is expected to wrap up by December, with a planned theatrical release in summer 2026.Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learned that Shahid is gearing up to begin shooting for the much-anticipated second season of his popular OTT series Farzi starting January 2026.
A source shared, “Farzi is currently in the writing phase, and Amazon Prime along with creators Raj and DK are excited to kick off the shoot for season two in January. Shahid has committed six months for filming and is set to receive a substantial paycheck.”
According to insiders, Shahid’s remuneration for Farzi 2 is ₹40 crores—his highest ever in his acting career. This significant pay hike reflects the massive appreciation and success of the first season.
A source revealed that Shahid Kapoor, known for his roles like in Kabir Singh, typically charges between ₹25 to 30 crores per film. However, for Farzi 2, his fee is higher than usual due to the different payment structure for digital shows compared to theatrical releases.Last month, Pinkvilla exclusively reported that directors Raj & DK are set to begin filming Farzi 2 in December 2025.
According to a source, after completing their current project Rakt Brahmand, the duo will move into pre-production for the sequel.Additionally, Raj & DK have discussed the core storyline of Farzi 2 with Shahid Kapoor. The upcoming season promises an intense face-off between Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, and Kay Kay Menon, with a premiere planned for the second half of 2026.
The first season of Farzi, released in 2023 on Amazon Prime Video, starred Shahid Kapoor alongside Vijay Sethupathi, Raashii Khanna, Bhuvan Arora, and Kavya Thapar in prominent roles. The series is poised to be one of Amazon Prime’s marquee projects slated for late 2026 to early 2027, with sources confirming that the second season will be even bigger and more ambitious than the first.
