The posters evoke a dark, war-ravaged atmosphere, spotlighting the bravery and sacrifice central to the story. The first poster features a lone figure in rugged military uniform, standing against a smoky, ash-filled backdrop. The figure’s tense stance and concealed face add an air of mystery and gravity. The tagline, “Woh Ikkis Ka Tha, Ikkis Ka Hi Rahega,” underscores a theme of unwavering dedication.
The title Ikkis stands bold in a distressed, gritty font, echoing the film’s raw tone. The poster credits acclaimed director Sriram Raghavan and producer Dinesh Vijan. The second poster dives deeper into the battlefield, showing a soldier manning a machine gun atop a tank, surrounded by explosions and armored vehicles. Originally slated for release on October 2, 2025—clashing with the blockbuster Kantara Chapter 1—the film’s premiere was postponed. Maddock Films has now officially confirmed a December 2025 release, though the exact date is yet to be announced.
Notably, Ikkis marks the big-screen debut of Agastya Bachchan, grandson of the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. Agastya previously debuted in the Netflix original The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar, which received mixed reviews, particularly concerning performances by debutants and star kids. This film offers Agastya a fresh and promising opportunity to establish himself under the expert direction of Sriram Raghavan.
