Aamir Khan is reportedly in talks to team up with Sidharth Malhotra and Tiger Shroff for the highly anticipated Race Reboot. This upcoming film aims to offer a fresh perspective on the hit action-thriller franchise, which originally starred Saif Ali Khan in the first two installments and Salman Khan in the third.
Known for high-octane action, sharp twists, and large ensemble casts, the Race series has built a huge following over the years. The makers are now reinventing the franchise with an entirely new cast. While Sidharth Malhotra and Tiger Shroff were previously linked to the project, Aamir Khan is the latest major star being approached. A source told Pinkvilla that Aamir liked the concept and is actively working with the writers to refine the script, feeling the reboot can bring a fresh flavor to the series.
The source added that the film is being designed as a unique thriller for Indian cinema, aiming to push the franchise into new territory. Aamir is ensuring the script meets his standards before officially signing on, taking his time to align all elements for a massive big-screen experience.
Race Reboot is slated to be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, marking his third collaboration with Aamir Khan after Dhoom 3 and Thugs of Hindostan. Meanwhile, producer Ramesh Taurani of Tips Films has already kicked off pre-production.
