Aditya Chopra Shifts Alpha Release to Make Way for Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan on April 17

Yash Raj Films’ much-anticipated Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt, is currently deep in post-production, which is expected to take a few more months. Upon learning that Salman Khan’s Battle of Galwan is ready for release, YRF immediately vacated the April 17 release date previously reserved for Alpha.

Talking about the film, it originally, Alpha was scheduled for December 25 but was shifted to April 17 to allow more time for VFX work, ensuring the action-packed film delivers top-notch visuals. “April 17 was chosen as a strategic release date since it was an ideal window with no other major films announced,” says a senior industry insider.

“When Aditya Chopra got wind that Salman’s Battle of Galwan was targeting the same date, given their long-standing relationship, he promptly decided to yield the date to Salman. YRF is expected to announce a new release date for Alpha soon, after reviewing the upcoming film calendar.”

Talking about the film, it is directed by Shiv Rawail, known for the global streaming success The Railway Men, Alpha stars Alia Bhatt alongside rising Bollywood talent Sharvari.
