Simmba 1st Day Box Office Collection

Simmba 1st day box office

So, finally the Sara Ali Khan and Ranveer Singh film called Simmba released today. The film had a decent buzz in the media that helped the film to get a good advance booking as well. Hence when the film opened in the morning, the occupancy report went to 50 to 70 per cent not just in single screens but also in the multiplexes. As the day turned the dusk, the film gathered a huge occupancy report that went up to 100 per cent also in many of the single screens and even multiplexes particularly the cities like Mumbai, Delhi NCR, and Bangalore to name a few. The other cities that recorded a decent response include Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Calcutta.

So, with a good occupancy report, the film did a good business on day one. As per reports, the first-day box office collection went to around 15.25 Crores. This is a huge figure for a film having a newbie like Sara Ali Khan who is just a one film old diva in the media. Secondly, it was the first venture of Rohit Shetty with Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan. The venture had a bit of risk, but the buzz went big for the film with its songs and trailer coming in a regular interval, the hype for the film was good enough to score high. The trade pundits are now hoping to see a similar figure on Saturday as well, while the Sunday will see a huge collection perhaps reaching to around 20 plus crores.

Thus it would be fair to say that the film could cross 50 crore mark on its first weekend and the weekdays would also have good figures that would make it enter into the 100 crore clubs. The current trends suggest that Simmba would barely take a week to enter into the 100 Crore clubs thus giving Sara Ali Khan her first film with a century. Thanks to the performances of the actors like Sara Ali Khan and Ranveer Singh the film is expected to see a huge surge with the New Year Eve coming close. Interestingly, the underwhelming response of Zero is not proving any hurdle for Simmba. So, at the moment the picture is rosy for Simmba at the box office.

Bombairiya 1st Weekend Box Office Collection

bombairiya-movie-review

It was a busy Friday for the B Town as we were able to find too many movies coming on the same day. There were three movies that were seen releasing on the same day that includes Bombairiya. The film was a comedy-drama genre movie having Radhika Apte and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead roles. The film bagged mixed reviews and had barely was able to create any pre-release buzz in the media. With mere 1.2 crores on the first day, the film continued to get a similar collection on the second and third day as well. The total collection was in a bad shape that kept the audience to score more at the box office. The collection for Saturday and Sunday went on to score around 1.25 Cr and 1.5 Cr respectively.

So, the first-weekend box office collection went to score 3.95 Crores on the first weekend. Perhaps such films do not stand well at the box office as the audience do not just enjoy films with such a theme. Comedy with confusion and lots of drama has proved boring to many now, hence to attract the audience for such films is a big deal to crack. Also, the star value of the film has been low with no big star involved in it, which is again the key reason to see the film’s collection. Also, the film Why Cheap India to posed a bit of competition for it despite not doing well at the box office.

Besides, Arshad Warsi film releasing the same day also gave options before the audience to choose. It was bad weekend for most of the films releasing this Friday. It is really difficult for the makers of all the films to attract with low promotion and low word of mouth buzz in the media. This will continue and will not give much credit to the audience. Now, with such a pace, the film Bombairiya is likely to get a lift during the weekdays. Let’s see how things would move, but at the moment the collection is dull and mundane and has not much to do at the box office.

Why Cheat India 1st Weekend Box Office Collection

why-cheat-india-1st weekend box office collection

The B Town had a couple of movies to release the passing Friday, which also includes Why Cheat India. The film, however, has a shocking performance and was able to collect only 1.71 Crores on the first day despite having good reviews for the film by most of the critics. Also, it had barely any threat from any other movie coming along with the rival movies like the Arshad Warsi movie Rangeela Raja and the Radhika Apte starrer movie Bombariya, yet the B Town audience has rudely rejected the film giving a minimal figure at the box office. Ironically the film continued its pace with similar figures on the second day as well.

The reports suggested that the film scored 1.5 Crores on the first Saturday, and on Sunday, the weekly holiday had just a bit of hike in its collection reaching to around 2.2 crores. So, the first-weekend box office collection for Why Cheat India scored 5.41 Crores, which is simply bad box office report for any film with such a potent issue. The film is based on the corruption found in the educational system and thus opened the can of worms before the Indian people. But as we know the Bollywood movie fans barely want serious movies to catch. All they like is the masala movie with high star value that can make them entertained.

Sadly the collection would not be going to rise in the coming days during the weekdays as the issue covered in the film is hard to sell. No one likes to catch the serious content film on the screens. Hence to do well at the box office all you need is to try things hard in a different way of keeping the masala element thick and plenty. Emraan Hashmi who has an image of a serial kisser seems to be trying to get rid of the same, but every time he tries something different he is taken for a ride. Anyway, it was a bad weekend for the makers of Why Cheat India, perhaps they now have to try something different in the coming days. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.

uri box office prediction

The Vicky Kaushal starrer film Uri- The Surgical Strike released last Friday seems to be going unstoppable at the box office. The film so far has gone strong over the box office after the end of the first week. The film is based on the Uri attack, which was carried out by the Indian Army to avenge the death of 19 Indian soldiers. The film has an ensemble cast with strong and good ratings both by the critics and audiences. This has helped to create a good word of mouth buzz in the media. It has helped the film to perform in a big way, beating the other film The Accidental Prime Minister released on the same day.

As per reports, the film in Rs. 70 crore at the box office outperforming films like Stree, Raazi, Badhaai Ho, and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. As per the trade pundits, the film’s collection went smooth. The first-day collection went to score 8.20 Crores, followed by 12.43 Cr and Sunday went the highest with the collection 15.10 Crores, which went the way like 10.51 cr, 9.57 cr, 7.73 cr, and 7.40 cr the rest of the days. The collection went to around 70.94 Crores. Interestingly, the film with no higher star value has performed the way which others like Razi and Badhaai Ho have performed. It was Taran Adarsh that enlisted the collection with this figure.
