Ever since the trailer of the film The Accidental Prime Minister hit the media, it has erupted a controversy among the political camps. With BPJ giving the film a clean chit for obvious reasons, the Congress Party objected the same and demanded a special screening of the movie before it finally hits the screens. Since Anupam Kher has been in the lead role, it is obvious to believe that it will get a clean chit from the ruling party coming straight from the official Twitter account. The trailer was released on Thursday, which is based on a book on Dr. Singh the former PM. The Youth Congress on the other side has objected the dialogues seen in the movie stating that the facts were twisted in the movie.
The trailer has showcased Dr. Manmohan Singh being the victim of Congress politics orchestrated by a particular family, which ended the UPA regime in the 2014 general elections. The timing of the film is also questioned as the general elections is scheduled in 2019, the film releasing on 11th Jan 2019 will have its negative impact on Congress party and the voters. The Youth Congress has objected to the fact that the makers have twisted the facts in the film and thus they would like to first watch the film and then decide the objections.
Writing a letter Mr. Satyajeet Tambe Patil, the Maharashtra State Youth Congress President has given the warning to ban the screening of the movie not just in the state but all across the country if they find the objectionable scenes and dialogues in the film. The film has an open political overtone, which is perhaps the reason why it has got its support from the ruling party coming straight from their official Twitter account. Regardless of the opinions received from different political parties, the fact remains very clear, and the movie is getting too much publicity which will help the makers to earn big over the box office. Stay tuned to know more about this film and let us know what do you feel about this objection as raised by the political party.
