The entire world seems to be stranded thanks to the lockdown call posed by the authorities. India seems to be on lockdown for 21 days ever since PM Modi called it on 24th March calling it till 14th April. He also came up with his PM CARE Funds for which many B Town celebrities donated the money giving donations both to the state and center. Now, we hear that the daily wage workers in B Town are affected the most.
Hence several actors and celebs in B Town have come forward to support the daily wage workers. They have donated the body called FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees). These included Salman Khan and Yash Raj Films. Aditya Chopra who now heads the Yash Raj Films came out to support FWICE to get the money directly to the bank accounts of 15000 daily wagers.
Aditya Chopra took the account details of these workers and directly transferred to their respective accounts. It was Gangeshwar Srivastav, the treasurer of FWICE who informed about the same. Talking to the media, he informed that Yash Raj Films team called at the office for account details of the daily wagers this Tuesday.
The FWICE office provided them the details of 15,000 daily wagers who then transferred the money. YRF is the first production house in B Town to announce its support in a big way. Other than Yash Raj, Salman Khan also donated money to 25,000 daily wagers and their families. Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty also donated the film body a sum of Rs. 51 lakhs.
