Karan Johar now to producer Ranveer Singh starrer Takht in Collaboration with Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series
Just when Fox Star Studios announced its exit from Karan Johar’s most ambitious period drama called Takht, there were rumors that he will shelve the project. The film has been making headlines for the ensemble star cast with actors like Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor Kareena Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar and Vicky Kaushal. The Fox Studio has been going bad at the box office this year.
With three films – Panga, Baaghi 3 and Chhapaak failing at the box office this year, the makers – Fox Studio seems to have become conscious now. But for Karan Johar, Bhushan Kumar has come as a ray of hope as his production house is going to support his Magnum Opus. So now Thakt will be produced under the banners – Dharma Productions of Karan Johar and T-Series of Bhushan Kumar. Now, the cine-goers have all the reasons to celebrate this news.
Karan has tried his best to get Fox Studio on board but since the film happens to be a big-budget movie, it requires a huge amount of money. With three flops already in its kitty, Fox Studios was smart in its move in terms of investing money. He also talked with groups like LYCA Productions from the South India Cinema group, but the two seem to have not worked well with them too. Karan then approached Bhushan, he checked the script and they gave his nod for the movie. So now, KJo will be producing a film with Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.
