Welcome back is another movie that is regarded to be the sequel to ‘Welcome’ that saw its release in 2007 and was then a huge hit, prompting the producers to plan for the sequel. This movie has been directed by Aneez Bazmee and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala. The script has been written by Anees Bazmee. The Welcome back stars Anil Kapoor, Shruti Hassan, Paresh Rawal, John Abraham, Nana Patekar in lead roles along with others. Music has been composed by Anand Raaj Anand and Anu Malik. Cinematography has been done by Kabir Lal and editing done by Steven Bernard. The production company is Base Industries Group and the movie is scheduled to be released on 29th May, 2015.
The cast of this comedy genre movie includes Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar reprising their roles from the prequel with Paresh Rawal. Shruti Haasan and John Abraham are considered to be new additions to this cast. This movie was anticipated to be released in December 2014, but the dates were later shifted to May.
As the veteran actor Feroz Khan had passed away, Amitabh Bachchan had been casted as his replacement. Akshay Kumar was replaced from the initial movie and John Abraham was signed in his place. Also, Katrina Kaif has been replaced by Sonakshi Sinha as the female lead in the movie, but she had dropped out soon due to issues with her dates. Similarly Asin was to be signed, but again due to issues with dates, had opted out and finally it was Shruti Hassan who was roped in for the lead role. Sara Loren is doing an item song and Sakshi Maggo is given a good role in the movie.
Two songs had been composed by Anand Raj Anand and Anu Malik that is pictured on the entire crew and cast. Also Anu Malik is said to have sung a song. Bolly cine goers are eagerly anticipating its release.
